GLASTONBURY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Gettysburg College, Gettysburg PA

  • Garrett Frick of Glastonbury has been placed on the Deans' Commendation List for outstanding academic achievement in the fall 2018 semester. Students with a quality point average in the range of 3.300 to 3.599 for a semester's work are placed on the College's Deans' Commendation List.

  • Sameeksha Agrawal, John Barletta, Nicole Kus, Lee Smutnick and Michelle Woodhouse, all of Glastonbury, were named to the full-time President's List at MCC for the fall 2018 semester. Glastonbury residents Crystal Arroyo Cruz, Heidi Bzdyra, Michael Gaudreau, MaryJane Greissle, Denise Harned, Lisa Letendre, Haleh Maleki, Margaret McBrien, Marc Mirizzi, Heather Napier, Cecilia Roehl, Austin Taylor and Christine Welsh made the part-time President's List. This recognizes the exceptional scholarship of full- and part-time students who earn a 4.0 or “A” grade point average in their courses. Full-time students who have completed at least 12 credits for the semester with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in the semester are eligible for this honor. Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes in the semester - and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC - are eligible for the Part-Time President’s List.

Full-time students enrolled in 12 credits or more and who have earned a GPA of 3.4 with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in that semester are eligible for the Dean’s List. Part-time students are eligible for recognition with the same criteria when they have completed 12 or more credits of work with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
