Bates College, Lewiston ME

  • Andrew Botelho of Glastonbury was named to the dean's list at Bates College for the fall semester ending in December 2018. This is a distinction earned by students whose cumulative grade point average is 3.77 or higher. Botelho, the son of Mr. and Ms. Michael P. Botelho, is a 2018 graduate of Glastonbury High School. He is a first year student at Bates.

  • A total of 33 students from Glastonbury were named to the dean's list at CCSU for the fall 2018 semester. They are Lina Allam, Paige Aresco, Katie Barnicle, Vaishali Belamkar, Rong Chen, Rachel Crockwell, Ivie Enagbare, Justin Fagnoni, Alexandra Feliciano, Abigail Fenerty, Julia Gervasi, Timothy Graziosi, Kelsy Hernandez, Laurine Hoover, Chelsea LaFargue, Linio Lam, Zachary MacMinagil, Xia Maxwell, Victoria McBrien, Luna Milne, Clark Otis, Ross Paisker, Laura Patton, Gina Pelligrinelli, Brian Pepe, Nicholas Podgorski, David Pulvermacher, Scott Smith, James Stone, Rachel Surdel, Ashley Talbot, Madison Toppi and Jose Velasquez.

Colby College, Waterville ME

  • Two Glastonbury residents were among more than 500 students named to the highly selective Dean's List at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year. These students, representing 26 percent of the qualified student body, earned a grade point average of 3.77 or higher last fall. Katrina Cubanski, a member of the Class of 2022, attended Glastonbury High School and is the daughter of James and Laura Cubanski of Glastonbury. Zoe T. Ward, a member of the Class of 2022, attended Glastonbury High School and is the daughter of Douglas Ward of Glastonbury and Stephanie Ward of Hartford.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

  • Austin Buck of Glastonbury, a member of the class of 2020 majoring in biomedical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense, hands-on research project through the WPI project center in Australia. The project was titled One Space, Many Audiences. In their project summary, the students wrote, "We conducted a visitor tracking and timing study, visitor surveys, and observational studies to assess visitor behavior in the exhibit depending on age. We evaluated the holding power and attracting power of the exhibit."
