Cop Posing as Young Girl Snags Man for Trying to Set Up Meeting in Glastonbury
He thought he had set up a meeting with a girl online, but was chatting with cop.
GLASTONBURY, CT — A 24-year-old New Britain man has been arrested for trying to set up a sexual encounter with an undercover cop posing as a 13-year-old girl.
Edgar Rosario was arrested on Wednesday by computer crimes division officers and charged with enticing a minor, attempted second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, according to a police report.
He was being held on a $150,000 bond and is slated for a Thursday appearance in court.

Police said Rosario came to Glastonbury to meet up with someone he thought was a 13-year-old girl for "sexual activity," according to a police report.
His conversations, however, were with an officer from the Connecticut Center for Digital Investigations unit posing as a young girl.
