Crash in Glastonbury Claims the Life of Driver

GLASTONBURY, CT — A driver was killed on Sunday morning when his car careened off Griswold Street and crashed into a ditch, police said.

At 10:47 Sunday morning Glastonbury Police, along with a Glastonbury EMS crew, responded
to a one-car crash on Griswold Street near the intersection of Milestone Drive, according to a news release.

The car left the roadway, struck a fence, and come to rest in a drainage ditch, according to a news release.

The operator — the sole occupant of the vehicle — was treated at the scene and then transported to Hartford Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, police said.

Identification of the victim was being withheld, pending notification of next-of-kin, police said.
