Daycare Director Sentenced in Glastonbury Abuse Case

A guilty plea was entered in January.

GLASTONBURY, CT — The former director of the Stork Club daycare center in Glastonbury has been sentenced in an abuse case.

Meegan Beach on Thursday was given a four-year sentence, but could be released after 150 days for good behavior, court records indicate. She will be on probation for the duration of the sentence, court records indicate.

On Jan. 6, she entered a guilty pleas to a pair of counts of failure to report child abuse and two counts of reckless endangerment, according to court records.

Beach, of Hebron, was arrested in mid-March after a four-month investigation into the actions of an employee, court and police records indicate. The employee is accused of force-feeding, restraining and hitting several toddlers at the daycare facility, according to arrest records.

According to police records, other employees warned Beach about the actions.
