Drinking While Driving Home from Cincinnati — That's What a Glastonbury Man Says He Did

Glastonbury Police initially stopped the driver because his vehicle headlights weren't turn on at 2:30 in the morning.


A Glastonbury man is facing a driving while intoxicate and other related charges after he reportedly told Glastonbury Police he was driving home from Cincinnati while drinking.

According to an NBC Connecticut report, police stopped Sean Whitmore Hickey, 25, as he drove on Main Street around 2:30 a.m. Friday because his headlights weren't turned on. Hickey reportedly admitted  to police that he had been drinking while driving from Cincinnati, Ohio, to his Glastonbury home, police said.

The entire trip is more than 750 miles, according to Mapquest.

Hickey also was charged with drinking while driving, failure to have headlamps illuminated and operating an unregistered vehicle. He was released on a $2,500 bond, according to the report.
