Evelyn M. Stosak, 91; Volunteered as Piano Player at Glastonbury Senior Center

Evelyn M. (Lobdell) Stosak, 91, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Samuel Stosak, passed away Thursday June 18, 2015 at Glastonbury Healthcare with her family by her side.
She was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Herbert and Margaret (Cullinan) Lobdell and lived in the Bridgeport area most of her life, before moving to Naubuc Green in 1990.

Prior to her retirement, Evelyn was employed by the Carlton Convalescent Home in Fairfield as a Companion to patients.
Her beloved husband Samuel was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army, 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper.

Evelyn’s hobbies included painting and crocheting baby outfits, which she donated to local hospitals. She loved playing the piano and volunteered playing at the Glastonbury Senior Center and Herbert T. Clark House.
Evelyn was a loving mother to Ronald Stosak and his wife Mary, of Lebanon, CT, and Diane Garcia of Miami, FL. She also leaves her two grandchildren, Eric Stosak of Avon, CO and Nicole Garcia of Tampa, FL. and her brothers, William Lobdell and his wife Joan of Shelton and Herbert Lobdell of Trumbull and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Evelyn was predeceased by her grandson, Christopher Garcia as well as her brother, Edward, and sisters Mary Lou, and Peggy.
She was loved by all that knew her. May she rest in peace.
Friends may call from 11:00am – 12:00noon Monday, June 22, 2015 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury, followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport at a later date.
