Food Fight at Glastonbury Supermarket Leads to Larceny Arrest

An investigation into a food fight led to an arrest for theft in Glastonbury, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Police arrested a woman for stealing at a local supermarket after initially heading there for a reported food fight, a report indicates.

The call to the Stop & Shop initially came in at 8:54 p.m. on Aug. 17, according to a report. Police were told a man and a woman were throwing food at each other, according to a report.

While questioning the two, Linda Ixtos, 50, of East Hartford, admitting to shoplifting and she was arrested for sixth-degree larceny, according to a report.

Police did not detail in a report what they were throwing.

Ixtos is due in court on Sept. 5, police said.
