Gas Leak Forces Evacuation At Glastonbury High School

GLASTONBURY, CT — A gas leak forced a lunchtime evacuation at Glastonbury High School.

The leak was reported to police at exactly noon. Students, faculty and staff members were still outside an hour later, but police said the building was being vented.

Police said students would likely not go back inside the building and would likely be dismissed from outside on the regular schedule.

Police said the preliminary indication was a cracked pipe led to the leak.

No serious injuries were reported.
