Gearing Up for the 40th Annual Glastonbury Apple Harvest Festival

The festival will be held Friday through Sunday, Oct. 17 through Oct. 19 at Riverfront Park.

This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Glastonbury Apple Harvest Festival.

The annual October event — Oct. 17 through Oct. 19 — is expected to attract about 15,000 people over the course of the weekend to Riverfront Park on Welles Street.

This year is going to be even more special as the Apple Harvest Festival organizers are adding three stages that will feature 40 local, original musical acts from all across Connecticut. And, weather permitting, there will be fireworks at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Other special events scheduled include, there’s a pie-eating contest at noon Saturday, and a performance by the Glastonbury High School Chorus at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Each year the Glastonbury Apple Harvest Festival is rated as one of the best annual events in the entire state.
