The Chabad Jewish Center has announced plans to host a free, open-to-all holiday event at Arbor Park in Ellington. The program, celebrating the festival of Chanukah, will be held on the seventh evening of the holiday – Saturday, December 12, at 7:00pm. You are invited! [Arbor Park is located on Main Street in Ellington, adjacent to the School Administration Building at 47 Main Street].

“We invite the entire community to participate in the festivities,” said Rabbi Yosef Wolvovsky, Executive Director of Chabad. “Chanukah celebrates the religious freedom of all.”
In addition to the kindling of a giant, 9-foot Menorah candelabra, hot cider and warm potato “Latkes” (pancakes) will be served. There will also be festive music and free raffles. Children and adults are welcome to this special celebration, free of charge!
