Giovanni’s is Coming to East Glastonbury ,YES!

Don’t look now but East Glastonbury is getting another restaurant. In addition to the fantastic Birch Hill Tavern in the Walgreen's shopping center, East Glastonburyites are getting our very own Giovanni’s. According to a post on Giovanni's Facebook page the eatery is aiming to open in mid June at the Minnechaug Golf Club on Manchester Road.

Giovannis’ has been in the center of town since 2003 and has solid pizza and a great beer list. I am personally really looking forward to another dining option in Northeast Glastonbury.

According to a recent Hartford Courant article, they will be open until 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and will serve alcohol, yes! Did I mention it is within walking distance of my house?! While I love the rural feel here in this part of town, I am really excited to have some additional dining and entertainment options close to home without having to navigate the rotary gauntlet!

Do me a favor and check it out when it opens. I will be voting with my wallet and hoping the food at this location is as consistent as the downtown location. It would be great to get a few more businesses on this side of town.

If you see a family of four walking along the grass towards Howe Road, go ahead and honk as it may just be me trying to walk off that large pizza!
