Gladys Wilk Niver, 89; Active with Glastonbury VFW for 68 Years

Gladys (Marston) Wilk Niver, 89, wife of the late Raymond Wilk Sr. and Theodore Niver, passed peacefully Monday, November 24, 2014 at home.
Born March 3, 1925 in East Glastonbury, daughter of the late Elmer E. and Lilly B. (Dennler) Marston, she was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury.

Gladys was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary #7659, Glastonbury for 68 years.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Michael Schadtle of Marlborough, a son and daughter-in-law Raymond Jr. and Sue Wilk of Stafford Springs; a sister Ethel Roberts of East Hartford; her grandchildren Rachael and Theresa Wilk, Shawn and Timothy Young, Michael and Sarah Schadtle and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday Dec. 6 at 10am in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Neipsic Cemetery, East Glastonbury. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
