GLASTONBURY, CT — The Connecticut Port Authority announced a $330,000 grant to help fund improvements to the Glastonbury Boat Launch at Riverfront Park, with the town matching the award for a total project investment of $660,000.

The grant, awarded through the authority's Small Harbor Improvement Projects Program, will support design and permitting, maintenance dredging and extending docks into deeper water along the Connecticut River.

Sediment buildup at the boat launch has restricted access for larger vessels, affecting recreational boating and emergency-response operations.
