Glastonbury Breakdown Lane Turns into Road to Court for Fugitive

The man was wanted for a serious theft case.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A broken down vehicle led police to man who violated his probation from serious theft charges, an arrest report indicates.

Alexander Gonzalez, 42, of Hartford, is due in court on May 5 after posting a $20,000 for probation violation, police said.

His car was broken down near the Route 2 - Neipsic Rooad interchange when police stopped to investigate, according to a report. Officers then learned that he was wanted for violating probation three years ago on decade-old first-degree larceny and criminal trover charges according to a report.
