GLASTONBURY, CT — The Glastonbury Town Council will present the municipal capital budget plan next week.

The meeting is slated for 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 17 at the Riverfront Community Center. The council will present the capital improvement budget proposal and host discussion. The Riverfront Community Center is located at 300 Welles St.

Residents attending the meeting in person can provide public comment live during the designated timeframe.

Residents wishing to contribute public comment remotely can do so before the meeting with a visit the Town council public comment web page and using the electronic form. The form should be submitted no later than 2 p.m. one business day before the meeting for the comments to be included in the public comment session of the meeting.

Those joining the meeting through Zoom can submit public comment:

  • The meeting host will announce each speaker by name or phone number when it is their time to speak. At that time, the speaker's microphone will be enabled for comment by the meeting host. When it is your turn to speak, please mute all other devices that may create background noise to ensure you are heard clearly.
  • It will be necessary for residents to state their full names and addresses after being prompted for comment.
  • Resident should then indicate when their public comment is complete so the meeting host may then announce the next speaker. The meeting host will then mute that microphone.
  • Public comment is restricted to no more than three minutes and a person may not speak more than once.

The meeting will be broadcast in real-time through Public Access Television on Channel 16, or live-streamed on the town website, officials said.
