Glastonbury Council to Consider Moving $500K For Playground Improvements

GLASTONBURY, CT — The Glastonbury Town Council is slated to conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, to review a proposed financial action.

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. and will take place in the Council Chambers located at Town Hall, 2155 Main Street, Glastonbury. Attendees will also have the option to participate remotely via Zoom Video Conferencing.

The primary agenda item for the public hearing involves the appropriation and transfer of funds. The Council is considering a plan to move $500,000 from the Capital Reserve Fund Balance to the to the Capital Improvement Project Fund.

The purpose of the transfer is to support the DECD Playgrounds Replacement Program Grant. The initiative aims to assist in the replacement and improvement of playgrounds within the town. The public hearing is designed to provide an opportunity for community members to learn more about the program.
