Glastonbury Driver Faces DUI Charge
The driver was stopped because his trailer tail lights weren't working.

A driver who was stopped by Glastonbury Police because the tail lights of the commercial trailer he was hauling didn’t work is facing a driving under the influence charge.
According to a police report, John Brown, 25, of 577 Bell St., Glastonbury, was stopped by police shortly before midnight July 2 because of the inoperative trailer tail lights.
“Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Brown was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol,” according to the report. “He was also in possession of a small amount of marijuana on his person.”

Brown also faces was violations of possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana and failure to have tail lamps. He was released after posting $5,000 bond and is scheduled to return to state Superior Court in Manchester on July 27, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website.
