Glastonbury Field Hockey Player Named to Exclusive All-Region Team

She is one of just seven players from Connecticut public schools to make the squad.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Glastonbury High School senior Catherine Guanci was one of 12 Connecticut field hockey players named to the Harrow/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) High School All-Region Teams, announced Monday by the NFHCA national office in Chandler, Ariz.

Guanci, a standout midfielder for the Tomahawks who has committed to play Division I lacrosse at Holy Cross next year, was joined on the Southern New England Region team by six other public school players from Connecticut, three players from state private schools and two athletes from Rhode Island.

Glastonbury reached the Class L semifinals, posting a 16-0 regular season record and finishing 18-1 overall.

Guanci had previously been named to the All-CCC team and the All-State team.
