Glastonbury Funeral Director Elected to Statewide Executive Committee

Robert W. Hansen III, a licensed funeral director/embalmer at Mulryan Funeral Home in Glastonbury, has been elected to his first term as a member of the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association (CFDA).

A third-generation funeral director, he became a licensed funeral director/embalmer in 1992 after receiving his professional schooling from New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences at Mount Ida College in Newton Center, Mass. In addition, he holds an Associates degree in Mortuary Sciences from Mount Ida College.

Following mortuary school, Hansen served his apprenticeship and worked for many years at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home in New Britain, Conn., which was founded by his grandparents, Robert W. Hansen, Sr. and Eunice V. Hansen.

In October 2018, he joined Thomas J. Mulryan and the staff at Mulryan Funeral Home in Glastonbury.

Hansen is a member of Advisory Board of the Funeral Service Program at Goodwin University in East Hartford, Conn. He lives in Berlin, with his wife, Kate, and their four children.
