Glastonbury Has Indoor Track Champion, 12 Other Placewinners

The CIAC indoor track and field championships were conducted Thursday through Saturday at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Led by an individual event champion and a dozen other placewinners, the Glastonbury High School boys and girls teams each placed fourth at the CIAC Class LL indoor track and field championships at the Floyd Little Athletic Center.

Andrew Rison won the boys 300 meters in 36.46 seconds. Other Tomahawks placing in the top 6 were:

  • 2nd - 4 x 800 relay; Eric Colleran, long jump
  • 4th - 4 x 400 relay
  • 6th - Nana Yaw Agyeman, shot put

Girls

  • 2nd - Erin McGill, 1600 meters; 4 x 800 relay; 1600 sprint medley
  • 3rd - 4 x 200 relay
  • 4th - Angela Braga, 1600 meters; 4 x 400 relay
  • 5th - Megan Plummer, pole vault
  • 6th - Madeleine Watson, pole vault

The championships were held Thursday through Saturday: Class L on Thursday, Class M on Friday and Classes LL and S on Saturday. Click the class headers for complete results.

The State Open will also take place at the Floyd Little Athletic Center on Saturday, Feb. 17.
