Glastonbury High School Swimmers Experience Success at Class LL Championships

NEW HAVEN, CT — For the seventh straight year, Greenwich High School dominated the pool at the CIAC Class LL girls swimming championships Wednesday at Southern Connecticut State University.

The Cardinals compiled 854 points to far outdistance runnerup Ridgefield, which had 570.5.

Since 1980, Greenwich has captured 26 class titles and 16 State Open championships.

Glastonbury placed fifth out of 20 teams, collecting 391.5 points. Grace Moore was fourth in the 200 individual medley and fifth in the 500 freestyle, while Brynn Campbell was sixth in the 100 butterfly and eighth in the 100 backstroke. Other top eight finishers for the Tomahawks were the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay teams (fifth) and the 200 freestyle relay team (seventh).
