Glastonbury Man Drives Onto Trail To Hide From Cops: Report

Glastonbury police found a driver and his car in the woods after a chase over the weekend.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Glastonbury man drove his car onto a trail in the woods in an effort to evade police over the weekend, according to a report.

At 11:58 p.m. on Saturday, a Glastonbury officer saw a Jeep "operating erratically" on Country Club Road, according to a report.

As the officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, it continued onto a wooded trail adjacent to the dead end portion of the street, according to a report.

The driver, identified as 25-year-old Allen Blake, of Glastonbury, abandoned the vehicle with his passenger and the two were located hiding nearby, according to a report.

He posted a $5,000 bond and is due on court on Aug. 19, records show.
