An employee of the Glastonbury McDonald's has been recognized for her dedication to people.

GLASTONBURY, CT — An employee of the Glastonbury McDonald's has been recognized for her dedication to people.
Liz Pelletier, affectionately known as "Mom" at work, was recently presented with the People Champion Award by restaurant chain officials with her family looking on.
Pelletier's officials title at the Glastonbury McDonald's is People Manager, but the crew members call her "mom" for all the "loving and caring guidance and encouragement she gives to her team," officials said.
Pelletier started at McDonald's eight years ago, looking for just a part-time job that she could work around her kids' busy schedules. Fast forward to 2023, and she's in a management position, "mentoring and supporting so many in need in the community," officials said.

She was presented the award to highlight the outstanding work she has done in "bettering the lives of those she works with and the significant contributions she has made, going above and beyond, in making them the best possible people, both personally and professionally. "
