Glastonbury Obituary: Augusta Glaser, 96

Augusta “Gussie” (Gartner) Glaser, 96, of Glastonbury, previously of East Hartford passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 8, 2016.

She is survived by her three daughters, Rita and her husband Dave Hoy of Florida, Hannelore and her husband Andrew Lyasoff of Massachusetts, Rosali and her husband Mark Greer of Glastonbury. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and her special niece Hella Gough and her family.

Gussie was born in Germany, December 1, 1919 and came to the United States in 1954 with her husband Joachim and became a U.S. citizen in 1956. She worked at G.Fox & Co. for many years. Upon her retirement she became very active with the East Hartford South End Senior Center. She served on their Board of Directors and participated in their many activities and trips.

Friends and family are welcome to gather Friday, June 10th, 11:00am for a memorial service at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
