Glastonbury Obituary: Josephine Pac, 76

Condolences to her family and friends.

Josephine “JoJo” V. (Cassarino) Pac, 76, of Glastonbury, loving wife of 36 years of the late Francis S. Pac, peacefully entered into eternal rest with her family by her side on Friday, July 21, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford.

Born in Hartford on March 17, 1941, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Concetta Cassarino, she had been a resident of Glastonbury for the past 50 years. JoJo was a graduate of Weaver High School in Hartford, Class of 1959 and retired as a Computer Engineer from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford after 22 years of dedicated service. She later went to work for AT & T and retired from there after many years working in the IT Department.

A devout Catholic, JoJo faithfully attended weekly mass. She was a member of the Glastonbury Senior Center and was a successful Ten-Pin bowler who participated in several leagues at AMF Silver Lane Bowling Center, East Hartford. Talented in crafts, JoJo would knit and crochet blankets for family and friends to enjoy. Along with being an avid cook and gardener (especially of rose bushes), she was a loyal fan of the UConn Women’s and Men’s basketball teams.

Josephine is survived by a daughter, Laurie A. Boyer and her husband, David, of East Taunton, MA; three sons, John R. Tromza and his wife, Ann Marie, of Vernon, William “Bill” J. Tromza and his wife, Brenda, of East Hampton, Kevin M. Tromza and his wife, Tracy, of East Hartford; eight cherished grandchildren, Justin Boyer of East Taunton, MA, Amanda Lamagna and her husband, Michael, of Palmer, MA, Derek Tromza of East Hampton, Corri Cummings and her husband, David, of East Haddam, Tammy Noble of Amston, Jessica Kenney and her husband, Eric, of North Carolina, Joshua Tromza of East Hartford, Brittany Cote of Vernon; and ten adored great-grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers, Santo “Sam” Cassarino and his wife, Madeline, of East Hartford, Corrado “Tony” Cassarino and his wife, Muriel “Mimi”, of Claremont, FL; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Besides her beloved husband and parents she was predeceased by a grandson, Jason Noble of Amston.

Funeral service will be Thursday (July 27th) at 9 am from the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am at St. Christopher Campus of St. Edmund Campion Parish, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday (July 26th) from 4-7 pm.
