
Kenneth Constantine Grechko, 88, of Glastonbury, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at home with his son by his side, and in the loving thoughts of his family.
Born on June 3, 1928 in Hartford, “Ken” was the son of the late Frank Grechko and Mary (Kloss) Grechko, and had seven siblings. He attended Hartford Public Schools, Hillyer College and was a graduate of the University of Connecticut, class of 1954. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
Ken and Maria, his wife of 61 years who survives him, lived and raised their children in Glastonbury, where Ken worked at Cushman Chuck, Powerhold Products Inc. and the United States Postal Service. In retirement, he was a fixture at local golf courses, tennis courts and weekend tag sales. Throughout his life, Ken never hesitated to live each moment and was a friend to all he met.

In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by his two children, Ingrid Munley and her husband Brian of Asheboro, N.C., and Eric Grechko and his wife Janis of Glastonbury, four grandchildren, Erin, Brian, Elise and Max, and a great-granddaughter, Allie Kate.

His life will be celebrated with calling hours on Thursday, June 30, from 5-7 p.m. at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave. Glastonbury. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am, also at Mulryan Funeral Home.
