Glastonbury Obituary: Kenneth Senerth, 87

Kenneth N. Senerth, 87, husband of Bernadette (Rohde) Senerth, of Glastonbury, passed away December 12, 2016 at home.

He was born in Whitaker, PA. , son of the late Fred H. and Ida (Redshaw) Senerth. Ken was a graduate of East Hartford High School and enlisted in the US Air Force, 103rd Squadron. Prior to his retirement, he worked at the Travelers Insurance Co. for 40 years.

Ken was a member of the Travelers Men’s Club, played basketball in his younger years and was a big Whaler and UConn Men’s Basketball fan. He enjoyed playing cards, especially setback and loved to discuss politics and finances.

Besides his wife, Ken leaves four sons and a daughter, Ken and Diane Senerth of East Hartford, Mark and Susan Senerth of West Hartford, Joe and Pamela Senerth of Colchester, Frank and Julie Senerth of East Hartford and Mary (Senerth) and Mark Keegan of East Hartford. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Emily, Julia, Mark, Amy, Jim, Jeffrey, Douglas, Olivia and Ian, two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Noah and a brother Henry Senerth of FL. He was predeceased by a brother George Senerth.

Friends may call on Monday December 19, 2016 from 4-7 pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave. Glastonbury. The funeral will be held Tuesday December 20, 2016 at 9:15 from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will be in Green Cemetery, 77 Hubbard St. Glastonbury.
