
Rhoda (Smith) Stegeman, 93, of Manchester, formerly Glastonbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 7, 2018. She was the wife of the late Lynwood Stegeman.
Rhoda enjoyed gardening, bowling, knitting and doing crossword puzzles. She also taught herself to play piano, the organ, and accordion. Prior to being a mother and homemaker, Rhoda worked at Pioneer Parachute, Cheney Mills, and Marlow’s Department store.
She is survived by her son Allan and his wife Carrie of Manchester; granddaughters, Karen Gorman and her husband Bryan of Coventry, Amy Somerville and her husband Philippe Basquiat of Manchester, and Lindsey Somerville of Tolland. She also leaves her beloved great-grandchildren, Tyler Gorman, Paige and Avery Basquiat.

The family would like to thank the staff at Crestfield Rehabilitation in Manchester for the wonderful care they provided to Rhoda.

A Memorial Service will be held at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester, on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 12:00 noon; family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior at 11:00am. A committal will follow at Center Cemetery in South Windsor.
