Sandra (Saccoccia) Augello, 66, of Glastonbury, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Hartford Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Hartford on October 11, 1950, a daughter of the late Peter and Nella (DiPillo) Saccoccia, she had resided in Glastonbury for most of her life. Sandra was a graduate of East Catholic High School, Class of 1968 and earned an Associate’s Degree from the University of Hartford. She was employed by People’s United Bank both in Glastonbury and at Tri-City Plaza in Vernon where she retired in 2009 as a Senior Bank Teller.
A devout Catholic, Sandra was a faithful communicant of St. Paul’s Church in Glastonbury. She actively participated in several prayer groups, recited the rosary daily, and was very generous to various Catholic charities. She also enjoyed cooking, crafts, and solving cross-word puzzles. Most of all, Sandra will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister who cherished her time with her family.
