Glastonbury Obituary: Stephen MacDonald, 47

Stephen J. MacDonald, 47, of Glastonbury, died peacefully Saturday September 24, 2016.

Born February 15, 1969 in Hartford, the beloved son of Alan L. and Beverly (Beach) MacDonald of Portland, he was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury. Stephen served in the U.S. Army and worked locally his entire career. His passion was his extended family and devoted dog Abby and cats Chloe and Gracie.

Besides his parents he is survived by his three brothers and their wives, Michael and Lauren MacDonald of New Canaan, Eric MacDonald of Middletown, Kevin and Stacey MacDonald of Glastonbury, seven nieces and nephews, Lily, Sean, Charlotte, Karleigh, Kyle, Ryan and Braeden. Stephen is also survived by two uncles and an aunt, Douglas and Margaret Beach of Glastonbury and Bruce Beach of Santa Monica, CA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Sept. 29 at 10 am at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial with military honors will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Wednesday Sept 28 from 6-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society.
