Glastonbury Opens Registration for Summer Production of 'Frozen' for Ages 7 Through Adult

GLASTONBURY, CT — Glastonbury residents ages 7 through adult can now register for the town's summer production of Frozen, according to the announcement. Full-cast rehearsals are scheduled to begin June 22 at GHS, and performances are set for July 30, 31 and August 1.

The announcement lists two registration periods. Early bird registration is open now until May 1 and costs $35. Regular registration opens May 1 and runs through June 22 for $45. Payment must be made by cash or check payable to the Town of Glastonbury.

The town provided separate registration links based on age and grade. One is for a cast member who is currently 7 years old through fifth grade. The other is for a cast member currently in sixth grade or up.

Audition information also varies by age group. For children ages 7 years old through fifth grade, only those who want to audition for Young Anna or Young Elsa should attend auditions, according to the announcement. It states that all other youth in that age range who register will automatically be cast in the ensemble.

The announcement also notes a change in this year's registration process. “New this year: we have added more paperwork to be filled out at time of registration, resulting in fewer physical papers to fill out during the summer.” It also states that audition music to prepare will be available soon.

Two audition dates and locations are listed. On Tuesday, May 12, auditions will be held at the Hopewell School Cafeteria. The time slot for children ages 7 through fifth grade is 6 to 7 p.m., and the time slot for those in sixth grade and up is 7 to 10 p.m.

A second audition session is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, at the GHS Auditorium. The 7-years-old-through-fifth-grade group is scheduled from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The sixth-grade-and-up group is scheduled from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
