Glastonbury Police Looking For Driver Who Hit Child In Crosswalk

The child was on a bicycle, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT - Glastonbury police are on the hunt for a motorist the who hit a 9-year-old on a bicycle, NBC Connecticut reported.

Thew child was in a crosswalk in Glastonbury on Thursday evening and fled the scene, NBC said.

Police said a woman driving a tan SUV with Connecticut a registration license plates hit the child at the intersection of Griswold Street and Milestone Drive just before 6 p.m.

The driver was described as a middle-aged blond woman and she was seen heading west on Griswold Street, police said. The vehicle might be a Chevrolet and the front bumper or fender on the driver’s side should have minor damage, according to police.

The child was not seriously hurt.
