Glastonbury police are making gun locks to the public free of charge.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Glastonbury police are offering free gun locks to the public.

The motive is,"to promote safe gun ownership in the community," according to a post on the department's Facebook page.

The locks are available at the GPD's dispatch window "anytime," police said.
