Glastonbury Police Release Name Of Pedestrian Killed In Crash

GLASTONBURY, CT — Glastonbury police have released the name of the pedestrian killed in a crash on Main Street Tuesday evening.

Her name is Karen McCarthy, 51, of South Glastonbury, police said.

The crash took place at 6:18 p.m. on Main Street (state Route Rte. 17) in the area of Water Street.

McCarthy woman was hit by a vehicle, transported to Hartford Hospital and pronounced dead there, policed said.

The driver of the vehicle stopped, was cooperative with investigators and no charges have been filed, police said.
