Glastonbury Produces Record-Setting Champions at State Open Track
The State Open indoor track and field championships were contested Saturday at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A relay team from Glastonbury High School set a new state record and the Tomahawks had placewinners in four other events at the State Open indoor track and field championships Saturday at the Floyd Little Athletic Center.
The girls 4 x 800 relay team of Kaylen Hughes, Angela Braga, Grace Sparrow and Erin McGill finished in 9:21.45, beating the old record of 9:22.28 set by Glastonbury in 2006.
The Tomahawks placed third in the girls 4 x 400 relay and fourth in the boys 4 x 400 relay, while Andrew Rison (300 meters) and the boys 4 x 800 relay team each took fifth.

Danbury edged Hall to capture the boys team championship, while Greenwich easily outdistanced Danbury to win the girls title.
