Glastonbury Resident Betty A. Bradley Passes Away at 93

Betty A. (Haskell) Bradley, 93, beloved wife for 72 years of Whitney L. Bradley Jr., of Glastonbury and formerly of Somersville, died Monday (May 4, 2015) at Glastonbury Health Care Facility.

Born in Springfield, MA on September 16, 1921 daughter of the late Ralph E. Haskell and Florence E. (Hellyar) Haskell.

She graduated Commerce High School, Springfield in 1939 and was employed by and retired from Insurance Company of North America. Betty was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Corona Chapter No. 205 and recently awarded a 50 year pin. She enjoyed painting, cross stitch and doll making.

She leaves two children, Cheryl L. Hence of Vernon and Gary D. Bradley and his wife, Rosalyn of Conway, SC; three grandchildren, Scott Bradley, Pam Adamson and Kristen Bozard; three great-grandchildren, Chloe Adamson, Carter Bozard and Kira Bozard and a nephew, William Courchene.

She was predeceased by a sister, Charlotte Courchene.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, May 7th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main Street, Somers. A funeral service in celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
