Glastonbury Runners Capture Invitational Victories
Tomahawk athletes found success at the season's first large invitational meet Saturday.

WINDHAM, CT — A runner from Glastonbury High School was individual champion in the boys varsity 1 race and the boys team was division titlist at the 40th Bob Haddad Windham Invitational cross country meet Saturday at Windham High School.
Jacob Smith captured the boys race with a time of 16:25 over the 3-mile course, five seconds ahead of runner-up Travis Martin of Wilbur Cross. Sam Wilcox was another top Tomahawk performer, placing 16th in the field of 238 runners.
Among large school division entries, Glastonbury's 68 points edged Hall, which had 77. Overall, the Tomahawks compiled 109 points, good for third place behind Suffield (59) and Tolland (77).
