Glastonbury Sexual Assault Fugitive Arrested

The man had skipped out on a court date in a sexual assault case, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A man was arrested in Glastonbury on Tuesday and charged with skipping a court appearance on a sexual assault charge, police said.

Carlos Cabrera, 20, who has no known address, was taken into custody at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, police said. His case involves the sexual assault of a juvenile girl, police said.

Court records indicate a re-arrest order was issued for Cabrera on March 16. He was arrested on Oct. 18 for two counts of second-degree sexual assault and single counts of disorderly conduct and second-degree unlawful restraint, according to court records. .

He had posted a $15,000 bond in the case.

His bond on the re-arrest was set at $32,500, and is to appear before a judge on Wednesday, police said.

While in custody, police discovered a second re-arrest order placed on Cabrera for a disorderly charge out of East Hartford, police said.
