Glastonbury State Aid Cut $802,000 Under Malloy's Latest Plan

Glastonbury was slated to receive $7.5 million in fiscal year 2019; now, Malloy wants town to receive $6.7 million.

GLASTONBURY, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.

Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.

For Glastonbury, it would be a 10 percent cut from the previously approved $7.54 million total - to $6.74 million.
