Glastonbury Students Helping With Primary Audit

Towns that hosted primaries will be chosen for the audit in a random drawing.

HARTFORD/GLASTONBURY, CT — Students from the Glastonbury-East Hartford Magnet School will assist Secretary of the State Denise Merrill with randomly selecting voting precincts to audit the recent municipal primary elections.

According to state law, 5 percent of the polling precincts that use optical scan machines are subject to the audit.

The hand counted ballots will be matched against vote totals from optical scan machines, Merrill said.
