Glastonbury Swimmers Place at Class LL Championships

The Class LL girls swimming championships took place Tuesday at the Wesleyan University pool.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — For the eighth straight year, Greenwich High School reigned supreme at the CIAC Class LL girls swimming championships Tuesday in the pool at Wesleyan University.

The Cardinals, who are also two-time defending State Open titlists, compiled 828 points to easily outdistance runner-up Ridgefield, which had 535. Staples was third with 475.

Three state records (SR) and a pair of Class LL meet records (LLR) were shattered during the meet. A trio of swimmers each captured two individual events.
