Glastonbury's 7-Day Forecast Includes Cooler Temps, Chance of Thunderstorms

The summer-like feel of this past weekend will continue into mid-week, and then temperatures will moderate for a few days.

In fact, if you enjoy warmer temps, enjoy today’s sunny skies with a high of about 80 degrees.

Things change late tonight with fog rolling in and staying until Tuesday morning’s commute, and then there is a chance of some showers and thunderstorms with temps in the lows 80s. The rain threat is less than 50 percent, according to the National Weather Service.

Beginning on Wednesday, the good news is it will be sunny, but temps will be hovering in the low to mid 60s until Friday when we could hit 70 degrees.

The initial forecast for the upcoming weekend calls for a chance of rain on Saturday, only 30 percent at this time, and sunny skies on Sunday. Again temperatures will struggle to hit the upper 60s next weekend.

Here is the National Weather Service’s latest hyperlocal forecast for Glastonbury:

• Today: Sunny, with a high near 85. South wind 9 to 11 mph.
• Tonight: A chance of showers, mainly between 9pm and 5am. Areas of fog after 2am. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 66. South wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
• Tuesday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. Southwest wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Tuesday night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 57. Northwest wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
• Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66. Northwest wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
• Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 44.
• Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 69.
• Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45.
• Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74.
• Friday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51.
• Saturday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
