Glastonbury's Karl Quits as ECHN President
Peter Karl has resigned as the sale of ECHN is about to be completed and amid a DUI charge.

MANCHESTER, CT — Eastern Connecticut Health Network President Peter Karl has resigned a day before the organization's sale takes effect, the Hartford Courant reported.
Karl, a Glastonbury resident, referenced "personal health issues" for the decision, which is effective Friday, the Courant reported. On Sept. 3, he was arrested in Hartford on a drunken driving charge.
The sale of ECHN to Los Angeles-based Prospect Medical Holdings is to be formalized Saturday.
