Hartford Marathon Foundation Unveils Team HMF 2016
HMF has selected an extraordinary group of local runners to help support its mission to promote health, fitness and community

The Hartford Marathon Foundation is pleased to announce the final selection of members for Team HMF in 2016. This group of 17 women and 13 men represents runners from diverse backgrounds and age groups. They come from throughout the southern New England area and represent a wide range of experiences. From health and fitness professionals to parents and teachers, their motivations differ but they share the passion to live healthier, be stronger and help others. The members of Team HMF are eager to inspire and encourage their peers.
The majority of members are returning from 2015. Members were chosen based on their race experience, social media activity, community involvement and commitment to spreading HMF’s mission. Team members will embody the mission through efforts to promote health, fitness and enjoyment throughout the regional running community.
As ambassadors, members will be seen racing in Team HMF uniforms, participating in awareness initiatives and sharing perspective on HMF events through their personal experiences, all in an effort to encourage athletes of all abilities to get out and run.
