Helen Robert, 74; Long-time Resident of South Glastonbury

Helen Robert, 74, of South Glastonbury, CT and Boynton Beach, FL passed away unexpectedly Sunday Sept. 13th surrounded by friends and family.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY she came to CT in the 1960s. She was the daughter of the Late Herman Isaksen of Norway and Georgina Aiken of Scotland.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband of 34 years Joseph L.A. Robert as well as her sister Agnes Cassidy of L.I., step-son Glenn Robert, and a grandchild John Conlin.

She leaves behind a brother George Isaksen and his wife Karen of N.Y., two daughters Cheryl Mermigos and her husband George, April McClain and her husband James both of South Glastonbury, CT, two step-children Gregory Robert and his wife Jill and Sandra Conlin all of FL as well as nine grandchildren.

She will be missed beyond words and long remembered for her generous nature, great sense of humor, love for her family and friends and her passion for antiques and doll collecting.

Calling hours are Friday, Sept. 18th 4-7 p.m. at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury,

CT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis Hospital ICU unit, Hartford, CT.
