September 2: A Fun Way to Prepare for Rosh Hashana
Glastonbury – Get ready for the Jewish holidays in style! A fun way to prepare for the “Days of Awe…”
On Wednesday afternoon, September 2, the Benet Rothstein Chabad Jewish Center will host a Rosh Hashana Fair at the Fountain Green in Glastonbury Center. This exciting event is free and open to all. You are invited!
Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, is only weeks away. This year, it begins on September 13. In preparation for this special holiday, the Chabad Jewish Center in Glastonbury is hosting a Rosh Hashana fair, geared for children and adults alike.

The fun afternoon will feature a New Year’s “Minute-to-Win-It” competition in which participants will attempt to complete an assigned task in 60 seconds or less. Other exciting attractions include a real-life Beekeeper Display, holiday-themed Face Painting, Blind Apple Taste Testing, Rosh Hashana Placemat Decorating, Apple S’mores Kabobs, and a Shofar Blast Race.
The Rosh Hashana Fair will be held on Wednesday, September 2 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. It will take place at the Glastonbury Fountain Green -- corner of Main Street and Hebron Avenue. Admission is free and all are welcome.

“It’s going to be a meaningful and fun event,” said Mrs. Yehudis Wolvovsky, Director of the Fair. “We invite the entire community to participate and get into the spirit of the New Year!”
