July Road Resurfacing Work On Tap In Glastonbury
Summer road resurfacing is set to begin this week in Glastonbury.

GLASTONBURY, CT — The town of Glastonbury will begin paving work on town roads this month.
Paving operations will include grinding of old road surface followed by grading and compacting, and top course paving, officials said.
The work schedule is outlined below, including approximate start dates for each location. Preparatory work like curb removal may start sooner, and the overall schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors. Project work may take two to three weeks to complete, officials said.

Paving to be completed in July includes the following roads/streets:
- Tall Timbers Drive (estimated to begin July 5)
- Bunker Hill Road (estimated to begin July 7)
- Old Musket Road (estimated to begin July 7)
- Sulky Lane (estimated to begin July 10)
- Towhee Lane (estimated to begin July 12)
- Opal Drive (estimated to begin July 12)
- Skyview Drive (estimated to begin July 13)
- East Opal Dr. (from Deerfield Drive west to cul-de-sac, slated to begin July 15)
- Vista Lane (estimated to begin July 15)
Paving operations are scheduled for Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., with Saturday work scheduled as necessary.

One-way traffic and detours are to be expected during working hours with flaggers and/or police officer present to help direct traffic and advise of changes in traffic patterns.
The work is being done as part of the Town’s Annual Street Paving Program. Additional paving work is planned for August and September with approximate timelines to be announced once finalized.
