'Large Sum' Of Cash Stolen From Glastonbury Resident: Cops
A woman has been charged in the Glastonbury theft.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A woman has been charged for stealing what police described as a "large sum of cash" from a Glastonbury resident, according to an arrest report.
Carla Even Lawrence, 56, of Montgomery, IL, was arrested Tuesday on a first-degree larceny charge, police said. She appeared in court Wednesday after being held overnight on a $500,000 bond, police said.
A judge knocked the bond down to $200,000, but she failed to post it was still being held on Thursday morning, court records indicate.

She is due back in court on Aug. 1, according to court records.
Lawrence knew the person from whom the money was stolen, police said.
