Madeline (Casasanta) Lovett, 94; Retired Inspector Who Was a Long-Time Glastonbury Resident
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Aug. 23 with the funeral Mass scheduled for Monday, Aug. 24.

Madeline (Casasanta) Lovett, 94, of Glastonbury and formerly of East Hartford, beloved wife of William F. Lovett peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at a local convalescent home.
Born in East Hartford on November 9, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Beradino “Fred” and Mary (Cavallo) Casasanta and was a lifelong resident.

Prior to her retirement she was employed as an Inspector at Stanadyne Mfg. Company for 42 years. A devout catholic, Madeline was a longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Church, East Hartford. Madeline liked to sew, make Christmas ornaments, and cook (especially for family cook-outs). She was also an avid and devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and a loyal fan of the Hartford Whalers and a member of the I-91 Club and Whalers Booster Club.
Besides her loving husband William of over 61 years, Madeline is survived by her two brothers, Fred Casasanta of Glastonbury, and Richard Casasanta and his wife, Frances, of Newington; her sister, Patricia Peluso of West Hartford; and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Along with her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Salvatore Casasanta of Avon, Albert Casasanta of Florida; and two sisters, Florence Massaro of West Hartford, Viola Palmer of Hartford.

Funeral service will be Monday, Aug. 24 at 9 am from the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Main Street/ Maplewood Avenue, East Hartford. Burial will be in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Madeline’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, Aug. 23 from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
